Greenfield Men go for World Record
More and more men are signing up for Greenfield Church's attempt to get into the Guiness book of records.
It's hoped that more than 20 men will sit down together on Saturday 10th of October 2009 desperate to put 'World Record Holder' after their names. At 9am Greenfield Market Cafe will open it's doors and serve a 'Full English' to hungry diners eager to be part of 20,000 men world-wide, anxious to beat some American 'Cowboy Breakfast Federation'.
First to sign up was Greenfield's Pulpit Secretary, Ralph Birtwistle. 'They've held that record for 8 years now' protested Ralph, 'It's high time they were given a lesson in how to tuck into a real breakfast'.
Guest speaker at the Breakfast is to be the Rev. George Crowder, no mean performer with the frying pan, and who has been known to manage more than two Shredded Wheats.
